500 FUTURE ENTREPRENEURS TO BENEFIT FROM EOIN HENRY FOUNDATION DONATION
Northern Ireland’s leading entrepreneurship education charity Young Enterprise has received a donation of £5,000 from the Eoin Henry Foundation.
The foundation fundraises through local events and distribute funds to deserving charities in memory of Eoin Henry who passed away following a battle with cancer at the young age of 20.
The charity is led by Eoin’s father and mother, Steve and Veronica Henry, and the family’s accountant, Kevin Johnston, who are all small business owners. Kevin is also an alumnus of Young Enterprise, so has seen first-hand the impact that this donation will make to 500 future entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland.
Young Enterprise head stakeholder engagement, Jan Donaldson, said:
“We are grateful that Young Enterprise has been chosen to benefit from the support of the Eoin Henry Foundation. This donation of £5,000 will allow 500 future entrepreneurs to experience our programmes, as we continue our work to bring Northern Ireland from peace to prosperity by empowering young people to lead our future economy.
“I would like to extend by gratitude to Kevin and Steve for this most welcome donation at a time when funding our incredible work is increasingly challenging.”
Kevin Johnston, a trustee of the Eoin Henry Foundation commented:
“Through Eoin’s love of cars and fitness, he was involved in the family businesses, and he would certainly have followed his father’s footsteps as a local business owner. Supporting Young Enterprise allows us to help young people learn real world skills. If we help them get better, everyone benefits.”
MacMillan Cancer
Last but definitely not least our number 10 from 10 x Charities receiving a £5000 boost from@our £50000 donation campaign. @macmillancancer who need no introduction at all, the work they do to support people with cancer and their families is remarkable. We had a real good chat with Jodie today who enlightened us on what macmillan are all about. It was an absolute pleasure to have them with us to receive our number 10.
We had John Mc Auley and his son with us this morning for a cheque handover for £1000 that will go to @cancerfundforchildren , a charity that John is supporting with his upcoming Car Show to be held in Muff on Sunday 3rd September. Cancer fund for children is a tremendous charity and we are honoured to support in a small way. Have a great show John.
